On October 6, 2023, a meeting of the Director of the Center Usmonzoda Khayridin with the representative of the International Research Institute of the Muslim Institute (Islamabad) Asif Tanvir Avan was held at the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on joint cooperation and expansion of scientific-analytical relations.
First, the director of the Center, Usmonzoda Khayridin, welcomed the guest to Tajikistan and gave brief information about the main areas of the Center’s activity. It was mentioned that the Center for Strategic Research, as an analytical and consulting institution, analyzes and researches critical and strategic issues. During the promotion of its activities, the Center cooperates with the think tanks of the countries of the region and the world, and organizes joint round tables, seminars and conferences within the framework of bilateral relations. Also, comprehensive cooperation with regional and international organizations has been launched. Especially was emphasized that within the framework of the cooperation of the Center with other think tanks of the region and the world, monitoring and consideration of the topics of protection of political stability, ensuring national security, ensuring sustainable economic development, development of modern means of prevention and elimination of modern risks and threats have a priority status.
Also, the director of the Center added that the bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan have been strengthening in recent years. Tajikistan and Pakistan have active cooperation in various areas, political, economic, cultural, security, energy, etc. He also added that the mutually beneficial diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are gradually strengthening, and the role of the leaders of both countries is very important in this process.
In turn, the representative of the International Research Institute of the Muslim Institute (Islamabad), Asif Tanvir Avan, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and expressed that the International Research Institute of the Muslim Institute (Islamabad) is a non-governmental, non-political and non-commercial analytical institution that promotes peace and stability, engaged in prosperity and leadership in the Muslim world. The Institute brings together researchers, intellectuals and politicians for comprehensive analysis of current social, political, economic, cultural, security issues, etc.
At the same time, Asif Tanvir Avan suggested that they support the exchange of experience, holding joint conferences and round tables with the Center. He expressed his desire to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Center for Strategic Research and the International Research Institute of the Muslim Institute (Islamabad).
The Director of the Center interpreted these suggestions as important and beneficial to bilateral scientific-analytical relations between two countries.
The meeting ended in a spirit of sincerity and good understanding.
